The Cambodia Development Institute (CDI) was established as a part of project to enhance Cambodia’s capacity enhancement for sustainable development. Funded by South Korea’s Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology and implemented by Ewha Woman’s University’s Graduate School of International Studies, the CDI would like to share South Korea and other Asian countries’ development experiences with Cambodia through a variety of research activities and training programs. In particular, CDI is interested in pursuing following objectives:

 Offering certificate programs in Asian development
 Establishing databases on aid activities in Cambodia from bilateral/multilateral agencies
 Providing books and data on Cambodian economy as well as South Korea and other Asian countries’ development experiences
 Inviting female scholars to Ewha University

As the first event of the institute, the CDI is offering a certificate program. As shown in the title, this program is designed to link South Korea and Cambodia in the framework of economic development. After a brief introduction to economic development in general, this course will go over South Korea’s development experiences in the past and its current stage of development, followed by Cambodia’s current stance in the globalized world. By completing this program, the audiences are expected to learn about South Korea’s exemplary development and lessons that can be applied to Cambodia’s further development and prosperity.
